Lee Forum successfully applied to Lewisham Council for the Dirty South pub on Lee High Road to be listed as an Asset of Community Value in 2019.This designation gives the community a right to identify a building that they believe to be of importance to their community’s social well-being.It means that if the building comes up for sale, the community will be given a fair chance to make a bid to buy it on the open market.Lee Forum are currently working with local sports clubs to apply for similar status for local sports playing fields which are being put on the market for development, in order to try to keep them in community use for sports.
